What is the appropriate attitude

in the case of  following a questionable guru?

The answer from Darshani

Nothing in the universe happens without the consent of God.

No matter how terrible an incident is, it is not divorced from God's Will.

Therefore, we must surrender to the knowledge that He is behind all things.

At the same time, when we 'wake up' to the truth (in the false 'Guru'),

we must from that point on,

use much more discrimination about whom we choose for a Guru.

We must do just what you are doing:

a) Do not insult anyone, and do not try to 'get back' at

someonefor having made us think they were pure.

b) Establish to others for future purposes, the criteria for

knowing who is a true Guru, and communicate this to others.

c) Begin to depend on the God that is in your heart, and not

the God that others outside of you are claiming they are.

d) Begin to study the works of the accepted Gurus who are

the most respected of all. These include the following:

Sri Swami Sivananda

Sri Ramana Maharshi

Sri Ramakrishna

Sri Neem Karoli Baba (guru of Ramdas)

Ananda Moyi Ma (great woman saint of Bengal)

Papa Ramdas

Mother Krishnabai

e) Let the world know that just because there is one rotten egg

in a particular basket, this does not mean that all the other eggs are also rotten.

We hope that our answers will be helpful to you as you walk a clearer, lighter,

and surer path of spirituality in the future, trusting the wisdom of your own Self.

May God bless your path and bless the words that you will write to light the paths of others.

The answer from E

Please try to remember that even your guru, or ex-guru,

along with everyone else, is but one face of the Infinite God.

Where you do not understand, do not bother yourself to judge.

At last, God is the One True Guru,

and God will never fail you or leave you.

He will perhaps change the nature of the face He/She presents to you,

but that is all.

Repeat the Name of God. Repeat it more. Don't stop.

Everything will be alright.

It will all come clear in the Name of God.

If the words of others are making you lose belief in all men, or

in yourself, then maybe your faith was

on a false foundation--based upon others.

Perhaps this is God's way of telling you to turn to Him and Him alone.

Turn to God first and then your faith in others and

in yourself will be based upon your faith in God, and it will be unshakeable.

Repeat the Name of God. Repeat it more. Don't stop.

Everything will be alright.

I love you.

E
